As of this morning, three different teams are riding runs of three or more in one direction or the other, a busy board by any standard.
Riding high
The longest active run belongs to Atlanta Dream: six consecutive wins. Nobody stays hot forever, but while it lasts, every night has looked like a rerun of the same comfortable movie.
Stuck in the barrel
On the other side of the ledger, Toronto Tempo have dropped eight straight. Losing streaks carry their own gravity, the pressing starts, the bounces stop cooperating, and close games keep finding the same ending.
It is not much prettier for Seattle Storm, losers of 5 straight.
The fine print
At 8 games, the board's longest streak is officially a main character; nothing else in the league gets talked about the same way while it lives.
