Every Division I men's team, ranked from 1 to 364 by Agatha's power rating: the points a team would beat an average Division I team by on a neutral floor.
One team new to Division I is listed last, without a rank, until it has played 8 Division I games.
Each team's rating is the number of points Agatha expects it to beat an average Division I team by on a neutral floor. It is built from its scoring and its defense in every game between Division I teams since 2002-03: 127,113 games.
Each game moves both teams by how far their points scored and allowed land from what their ratings expected, once home court is allowed for. Each new season starts from the last one, pulled 15 percent back toward average, so newer games count more. Before a season's games, a rating knows past seasons alone: nothing of transfers or freshmen.
A team that has played fewer than 8 Division I games is listed as new. The table is updated every morning.
