Alona Bondarenko, a Ukrainian tennis player on the WTA Tour, was born on August 13, 1984, in Kryvyi Rih, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. She played right-handed with a two-handed backhand and turned pro in 1999. In 2010 she won 1 title, the Moorilla Hobart International, and on April 14, 2008, she reached a career-high ranking of No. 19. Bondarenko retired in 2011.
