Rainer Schuettler was born on April 25, 1976, in Korbach, West Germany, and played right-handed with a two-handed backhand. He represented Germany on the ATP Tour and turned pro in 1995. Schuettler won an Olympic silver medal in doubles at Athens 2004 and retired in 2012.
